Understanding no-budget-impact, pending, billable, executed, and void changes

Change status and financial timing answer different questions.

Best for: Project managers and accountants · Outcome: Interpret change amounts correctly in contracts and reports.

• No budget impact describes the Change Event's financial intent.
• Pending generally means a CO is not executed and has no Billable On date.
• Billable On allows the change to affect billable reporting separately from signature completion.
• Fully Executed completes the contract status flow and creates the related SOV effects.
• Void keeps the record in history without treating it as active.

Executing a CO sets execution and billing information and creates SOV lines. A billable Prime CO can create and lock its Budget Modification.

Do not mark a change executed merely to make it appear in a report. Use the pending-CO report option or Billable On behavior according to the project's actual accounting policy.
