Setting up a project budget

Budget Setup starts the project's Budget.

Best for: Project accountants and administrators · Requires: Financial-management access.

Choose one setup path:

1. Import a supported budget file.
2. Copy from Prime SOV when owner revenue coding is an appropriate starting point.
3. Add manually when the team will build the budget directly.

Copying the Prime SOV creates a starting point; it does not make revenue and cost budgeting interchangeable. Review coding and amounts before locking the Original Budget.

If imported original budget lines already exist while the Budget Type is unselected, Constructable may complete setup automatically and open budget editing.
