A Change Event is the container for one scope change and its owner- and vendor-side effects.
Best for: Project managers and change administrators · Requires: Change Event access.
To create one:
- Open Change Events.
- Select Add Change Event.
- Enter a specific title and description.
- Mark Change Event has no budget impact only when the change truly will not affect project budget.
- Save, then add the related vendor COs and PCOs.
Examples of no-budget-impact events can include schedule-only or material-only coordination that does not change financial value. Do not use the checkbox simply because pricing is not known yet.
In the recurring example, added foundations belong in one Change Event. The concrete vendor CO records cost; the PCO records what is billed to the owner.
Next, create the vendor CO and PCO.
