Payments record cash against invoices on a Commitment.

Best for: Accountants and payment administrators · Requires: Payment write access.

To add a Payment:

  1. Open the applicable Commitment.
  2. Find the Payments block.
  3. Select Add Payment.
  4. Enter the payment date, method, reference, and amount.
  5. Allocate payment lines to the correct approved invoices.
  6. Save and verify each invoice's remaining amount due.

Payment methods can include ACH, credit card, check, cash, or other.

When recorded payments cover the invoice amount due, Constructable can move the invoice to Paid. Deleting or changing a Payment can therefore affect invoice status.

QuickBooks can import supported customer and bill payments. Sage Intacct's baseline integration does not sync Payments.

In the recurring example, the Payment is allocated to the approved concrete invoice. It reduces that invoice's amount due but does not change the original Commitment value.
