Choose the right comparison method

• Use the revision selector when you only need to inspect one version at a time.
• Use Split View when both sheets need to remain readable, the layouts differ, or you want independent context on each side.
• Use an overlay when the sheets represent the same geometry and you want linework differences directly on top of each other.

Split View needs a larger web layout, while overlays are available on web and native layouts, including phones and tablets. See Platform and feature availability before planning a comparison.
