Mobile work follows the same project
Work created on a phone, tablet, or desktop belongs to the same organization, project, records, and permission model. When connectivity is available, Constructable sends accepted changes and brings updates from teammates into the current project.
Mobile layouts can move controls into headers, drawers, bottom toolbars, or overflow menus. A control that is absent may be a platform limitation rather than a permission problem.
Resilient field photo capture
The native app can capture from the camera or device library and retain pending media in a local upload queue while it is being sent. Photos can appear in the current workflow before the transfer is fully complete, and interrupted transfers can retry.
Pending does not mean safely shared. Keep the app open when instructed, wait for uploads to finish, and verify important media in its album or connected record. Signing out or removing local data can discard unfinished local work; closing the app or losing connectivity can delay an upload.
Drawings prepared for weak connectivity
In the native app, you can explicitly Store on device the drawing revisions needed for a site walk. Stored assets support previewing and viewing those selected revisions when the connection drops.
Storage is per sheet and revision. It does not automatically store every drawing, connected record, comment, search result, or future revision. Reconnect after a new publication and store the current revision before relying on it offline.

- Let pending photos finish before leaving the workflow or treating them as shared evidence.
- Store and test critical drawing revisions while online before entering a low-connectivity area.
- Reconnect regularly so uploads complete and project information refreshes.
- Use desktop web for drawing administration, large bulk actions, and detailed comparison workflows.
Connectivity and platform limits
The whole Constructable Platform does not work offline. Search, AI, connected drawing records, many file operations, and actions that Constructable must confirm need a connection. Even when locally available information remains visible, it may not reflect recent work by others.
The native drawing viewer does not provide new-tab, Split View, or overlay comparison actions. Some bulk and administrative controls are desktop-only. Review the exact platform matrix in Drawings platform and feature availability.
Before field work
- Open the correct project while online and allow current information to load.
- Store the latest revisions of critical sheets in the native app.
- Open each stored sheet once to test it.
- Confirm camera, photo-library, and notification permissions as needed.
- After field work, stay connected until pending uploads finish and verify the resulting records.
