Archive or delete Quality Lists and Items

Archive finished collections; delete only records that should no longer remain active.

Project TeamDesktop WebVerified July 24, 2026

Archive finished collections; delete only records that should no longer remain active.

Best for: Quality managers · Requires: Quality Item write access.

  • Archive List removes the list from the open group and prevents normal new-item work while retaining it under Archived.
  • Unarchive List returns it to active use.
  • Delete List removes the list from normal use.
  • Delete Item removes one Quality Item.

Archive is the preferred end of the list lifecycle because it keeps the record available. Before deleting an item, review comments, attachments, drawing pins, and dependent items. Deleting an item with dependencies can break the work sequence; resolve or move its dependents first.
