If you already live in Claude or ChatGPT, you can bring your project data to it instead of switching apps. MCP — Model Context Protocol — is the standard those assistants use to connect to an outside system, and Constructable publishes one, so your assistant can tell you what's overdue, what changed on a sheet, or what the field logged yesterday.

The server address is https://agents.constructable.ai/mcp.

Connect Claude

  1. Open the Customize menu and choose Connectors.
  2. Select the + button, then Add Custom Connector.
  3. Enter Constructable as the name.
  4. Enter https://agents.constructable.ai/mcp as the remote MCP server URL.
  5. Select Add.
  6. Sign in when Constructable's Connect MCP client page appears, then select Confirm to grant access.

Pro Tip: Open the Constructable connector's settings afterward and set read-only tools to always allow, while leaving write tools set to require approval. You'll stop approving every lookup, but nothing gets changed in your projects without you saying yes first.

Connect ChatGPT

Install Constructable from the ChatGPT app directory, select Connect, and you'll be sent to Constructable's Connect MCP client page. Sign in if you aren't already, then select Confirm. ChatGPT shows a success message and you can start asking.

What the assistant can and can't do

Most of what the assistant can do is read-only: listing your organizations, exploring what kinds of data exist, and querying your project records. Creating or changing records goes through a separate write capability, which is the one worth keeping behind an approval prompt.

Note: Connecting an assistant does not widen your access. Every request runs as you — it respects your role, your organization membership, and your project permissions, so the assistant can only see records you could already open yourself.

MCP access is governed by its own permissions, granted by default to administrators, managers, and employees. If the connection succeeds but the assistant reports that it can't see any organizations, that's the permission to check with your Admin.

Can teammates see my conversations with the assistant?

No. The connection is between your own account and your own assistant. Your chats live with that assistant, not in Constructable.

Who do I contact if the connection won't work?

Email support@constructable.ai. Include which assistant you're connecting and where the flow stops.
