Choose the narrowest action that matches the outcome you need.

Best for: Project closeout, company changes, and employee or partner offboarding · Requires: Project write permission for Project Team removal; internal- or external-user provisioning permission for deactivation.

To remove someone from one project:

  1. Open the project, then select Management Tools → Team.
  2. Open the person's actions.
  3. Remove the person from the Project Team.

To remove a company from one project, use the company action in the appropriate Project Team section.

To deactivate the person's broader membership:

  1. Open Global DirectoryPeople.
  2. Open the person's profile.
  3. Select ActionsDeactivate user.
  4. Confirm.

Project Team removal leaves the directory membership available for other projects. Deactivate user marks the organization or company membership inactive and is the broader offboarding action.
