Comments are created in the context where the conversation belongs.

Comments are created in the context where the conversation belongs.

Best for: Project members raising a question or recording coordination · Requires: Comments write permission and access to the parent record.

To start a record-based conversation:

  1. Open the Topic, drawing location, RFI, Submittal, bid, photo, or other supported record.
  2. Add the first comment with the issue, requested action, and useful context.
  3. Attach media or a screen recording where supported.
  4. Mention responsible people.
  5. Submit the comment, then continue through replies.

To start a project-wide internal discussion:

  1. Open Threads.
  2. Select New Internal Discussion Thread.
  3. Enter the first message and any attachments or mentions.
  4. Submit.

Internal discussions are visible only to users with the project-discussion permission. Use a record-based Thread when the conversation needs durable context from that record.
