Bid management

Closing, reopening, and deleting a package

Closing a package ends active bidder response while preserving it for review.

Project TeamDesktop WebVerified July 24, 2026

Closing a package ends active bidder response while preserving it for review.

Best for: Bid managers · Requires: Bid-management permission.

  • Use Close Bid Package when the solicitation period has ended. Bidders can still view details and submitted bids, but cannot submit or modify responses.
  • Use Open Bid Package to restore an eligible closed package. Reopening can restore bidder project access for active contacts.
  • Use Rename Package when only the title needs correction.
  • Use Delete Package only when the package should be removed from active use. The action removes access to the package and its bid history from normal workflows.

Closing bidder access is package-aware. If the same bidder still has another open package on the project, that other open invitation can preserve their bidder access.
