Incidents by Constructable
Construction incident reporting software for general contractors
Report incidents and near misses from the jobsite while the facts are fresh. Keep the injury, property damage, environmental, and security records on the same incident, with unlimited users and flat pricing .

Report from the jobsite
Log it before the shift ends
Our construction incident reporting software needs two things to start a report: a title and when it happened. The time defaults to now, so a foreman can log a near miss from a phone while standing where it happened.
• Photos: take them on the spot, or attach photos already in the project
• Leaving halfway: New Incident opens your draft the next time, with the photos you already added
• Any device: desktop web, mobile web, and the Constructable app for iPhone, iPad, and Android

Incident records
One incident, every outcome
The incident is the event: when, where, and what happened. Records hold what came of it, and one incident can have several.
• Five record types: Injury/Illness, Near Miss, Property Damage, Environmental, and Security
• A fall from a lift: one incident gets an Injury/Illness record for the worker and a Property Damage record for the lift
• A weekend break-in: the Security record has the type of event, what was stolen or damaged, the police report number, and the estimated cost

Investigation
Record why it happened and what changed
Every new project starts with incident forms that ask the usual safety questions, so your first report doesn't wait on form setup.
• Investigation: the hazard, contributing conditions and behaviors, work activity, equipment involved, and root cause
• Witness statements: one entry per witness, with their company, phone number, statement, and a signed statement or recording
• Corrective actions: one entry per action, marked completed when the change is in place

Incident Settings
Make the forms match your safety program
Change the default forms in Incident Settings. Add fields and sections to the incident or to any record type, and a project created from a template copies them.
• Field types: text, rich text, number, date, date and time, checkbox, single and multi select, user, company, cost code, location, and attachment
• Repeating sections: turn on Has many entries for one entry per injured worker or per piece of equipment
• Record types: turn off the ones you don't use, and set their order in the Add Record menu

Close and export
Close the incident and send the report
When the owner, your insurance carrier, or corporate safety asks for the report, download it as a PDF. They don't need a Constructable login to read it.
• Closing: moving an incident between Open and Closed takes its own permission, so you decide who signs off
• One or many: download one incident, or every incident the filtered list shows in a single file
• Attachments: add each incident's photos and PDF attachments after its report pages

On the same project
Keep safety records with the rest of the job
Incidents live on the same project as your RFIs, submittals, daily logs, and inspections.
• Daily logs: write the toolbox talk and near-miss notes in the day's Safety section, and report the events that need an investigation as incidents
• Inspections: run safety walks as checklists with pass, fail, and N/A results
• Search: project search finds incidents, their records, and their custom field values
• History: the activity log shows every change, and mentioning someone in the description notifies them
